Wii U Preview & the rest of the weekend

As I’ve mentioned here before, I’m a big Nintendo fan, so when I got the invite to go to the Wii U Preview event here in Austin, I jumped at the opportunity! I invited a friend along, and we met there at 4pm on Saturday. As we were waiting in line to get our badges, the people who arrived before us were let in. The cheering reminded me of the time when Apple stores open on the release date of something… I was looking forward to going inside. As we went in, we were offered snow cones and cookies… I had a grape snow cone and a small water bottle, and off we went to explore. The place was divided into small rooms, and in the center, there were 4 setups with TVs and couches around them. There were also standalone stations where we were just standing. There wasn’t much of a wait for any game, so we tried the games we wanted: Super Mario Bros. U, Just Dance 4, Sing and Dance, and Wii Fit U. We were told the photos would get posted to our Facebook {if we had opted to do so} or emailed to us, but so far, we haven’t seen them… so instead you get my iPhone photos :)

We had a lot of fun, and I can’t wait for the Wii U to be released!

After dinner, I met up with my other friends for the Pubs for Pups bar crawl benefiting Austin Pets Alive. We only made it to 3 out of the 4 pubs, but we had a good time chatting. Even though it had rained earlier on in the day, it began to pour while we were out, and the power went out at the bar for a bit.

After my workout on Sunday, I rewarded myself with the new Super Mario Bros game. I was exhausted once I got home, and it took a lot for me to get out of bed, so I didn’t end up doing much on Sunday.

What did you do this weekend?

Comments

  1. My weekend was full of work( Thanks GOD) One cleaning on Saturday and TWO cleanings on Sunday…it was terrible for my feet. They hurt me a lot…maybe because I am 57…then we had another cleaning yesterday..I am getting old because three days in a row it was too much for me…I need a break hehehe.
I am so glad that you enjoy your time in that way. I love it!
    Greetings,
    Aunt Ofes
