It’s been a little more than a month since I last did a WIAW, but I’m glad to be back! Thanks to Jenn for hosting this little party!
Today was our first weigh-in over at the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans New Year’s weight loss challenge (my intro post can be found here), so be sure to come back tomorrow to read about my first week!
And now onto yesterday’s eats.
In the morning, I had some yogurt as per usual, but I’ve been sprucing it up a little more… Strawberry Fage yogurt with Barbara’s Puffins, semi sweet morsels, and pecans and half a grapefruit. I find that with the nuts, I’m fuller longer.
For my morning snack, I had some cherries and a jalapeño cheese string. I forgot to take a photo as I was on the phone with my boss when I grabbed it.
For lunch, I made a simple ham sandwich with some roasted veggies.
I got the recipe from my mom for the roasted veggies and they turned out AH-mazing!! I’ll be posting the recipe next week.. I’ve got plenty of vegetables to last me through the week.
For my afternoon snack, I had an apple with Justin’s Chocolate Hazelnut Butter
It rained all day, and I hoped that it would stop before we went to do our quality workout, but it didn’t. In fact, when we started our run, it started coming down even harder! So after our run, we went out to eat. We started with some chips, and then I had a salad, and a tortilla chicken soup… originally I had just wanted a salad, but I was cold and a little wet from the rain, so all I could think about was getting some soup to warm up.
It was really nice to come home and take a hot shower. Despite the rain, I couldn’t miss the last quality workout before the 3M Half Marathon this weekend, and I hadn’t run in the rain this season, and I wanted to be prepared in case it does run this weekend.
