I saw this photo on Facebook this morning and I had to use it… (don’t know who to credit)
On September 11th, 2001, I was still living in Canada, sitting in a class when my uncle (who was living in the US) messaged me on MSN messenger, and he told me what was going on, so I started looking at the news online. I texted my parents, and could hardly pay attention to the rest of the school day (which ended at noon). I went home and turned on the TV. After a while, I just couldn’t watch it anymore; it was terribly heartbreaking, and it’s still is. Never Forget.
These are most of yesterday’s eats:
- Breakfast: A coconut milk, pineapple, Perfect Fit protein, and almond butter smoothie (it wasn’t the best)
- Lunch: Leftovers from Monday night – Cornmeal-dusted [cod] with Quinoa Sauté (Cooking Light – June 2013) – we loved this recipe!
- Afternoon Snack: Hummus with red bell pepper
- Dinner: Spicy Thai Turkey Wraps – always a favourite!
Not pictured here: an apple and almonds for my morning snack, and 3 squares of dark chocolate :)
Today, I have an appointment with my endocrinologist and my 2nd quality run for marathon training.. I hope it goes better than last week!
